i was just wondering if you take testosterone replacement therapy how long does it take before you notice an outward physical difference

It depends on what you mean by outward physical difference. If you’re taking testosterone replacement therapy because you’re hypogonadal then you shouldn’t see much physical difference at all. However, the difference, if any, should be within a few weeks because of the controlled dosing. If you are taking testosterone illegally to build muscle then you will see a very rapid development of your physique. Of couse, the anabolism will not be sustainable and eventually you will lose things like muscle definition, penis length and facial hair and gain other things like breasts and acne.
