Transgender(ftm) Hormone replacement therapy?

I have some questions about it.
How soon would i be able to start it( like what age)
how often do i have to have blood work done
and how long would i have to be on T

Those are the internationally recognized Standards of Care. They are the guidelines that most therapists, doctors, surgeons and patients fallow. They list 16 as the age at which HRT may be started. However, puberty blocking GnRH inhibitors may be started at 12 (Tanner stage 2). However, there are a few clinics in the US that now follow the Dutch example of treating young trans teens. At one of these clinics it’s possible to start hormones as young as 14.

But before hormones can start you must see a gender therapist. They will evaluate you, diagnose you as being transsexual and, if they think you’re ready, they will refer you to an endocrinologist for HRT. And NOTHING will happen without parental support and consent.

Once a transsexual person starts on HRT they usually take it for life. You would have lab work probably 2-4 times the first year and maybe only once a year thereafter; it depends on the doctor.
