is it easier for a woman to get breast cancer after having a supra cervical hysterectomy. and im an emotional wreck why is that and i don’t sleep well any more . and im doing some of the weirdest things for instance i would be cooking and forget that im cooking . gaining weight like crazy. i feel uncomfortable all the time. and the doctor said that i need hormone replacement therapy something called cenestin and i went online to read the side effects and it just to many side effects for me . so i drink soy milk to help with the hot flashes. i just want to know how long all this is going to last. if anybody out there knows how long i will be going though this i would like to know please help me please.

I know where you are coming from, as I had a hysterectomy 13 years ago, and hate to tell you but still have an occasional hot flash. However, I took Premarin for 7 years of that and truthfully it helped immensely. Doctors took me off of it due to the breast cancer scare. I don’t think that the surgery causes breast cancer, but they say the hrt can. So far I am fine. If you have a good health food store in your area, they can recommend some good natural products for the symptoms of menopause. You could give that a try. I don’t know what to recommend as I didn’t take them, but my sister did. She got great help from some of it.
