Is my Wife Menopausal?
My wife has been experiencing Hot sweats, sleeplessness, irritability and her periods have stopped 6 to 8 months ago and she has gained weight. She is 49.
She has several blood tests which have proved she is NOT going through the Menopause?
So what is happening? The Doctor thinks she may be showing some symptoms, which is the reason she has put her on a low dose of HRT.
Are there any other women this has happened to who have found out what has been happening to there bodies and what treatment were you prescribed.
Are there any alternative medical suggestions and tests and any alternative natural therapy.
The Doctor has prescribed her 1mg of Elleste Duet, a low dose of Hormone replacement therapy, but she is worried about taking medication for something that hasnt been correctly diagnosed and which could be detrimental to her health?
Treatment always seems to be HRT (hormone replacement). My mother refused this and soldiered on through mild depression, night sweats, hot flushes and some weight gain.
15 years later there is still the odd hot flush but as she said all through it “It will pass” – and it did.
There is advice and a ‘herbal HRT’.
