Hormone replacement therapy, osteoporosis in men?

Would hormone replacement therapy be helpful for men suffering from osteoporosis? I know it would be for women as it can help prevent osteoporosis for those in postmenopausal state. But I think it’s the last resort as it can impose additional health risks for females. So how about for men?
