hormone replacement therapy in women
Thyroid hashimoto chinese treatement ?

I apologize because I speak little english.I am an Italian woman, I’m looking for information on a site that had found a friend of Chinese medicine for the treatment of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. or, if anyone can advise me on how to treat the disorder without the use of hormone replacement therapy (for example, synthetic levothyroxine). You can answer in Spanish or French, I speak better English. thanks!

There is not a cure for it.
I DO NOT recommend synthetic hormones (like levothyroxine) mostly all the doctors however will recommend it and want to prescribe it. I recommend she use NATURAL thyroid hormones. She will need thyroid hormones Hashimoto is Hypothyroidism which means her thyroid does not make enough hormones on its own so she needs replacement hormones. Synthetic hormones however ONLY HAVE T4 in them a thyroid makes T1, T2, T3, and T4 on its own ALL of which are important to your body. Natural thyroid medication has all of the important T’s in it I get my medication made specifically for me at a compounding pharmacy.

I also recommend she goes to a Gluten free and Soy free diet. Another poster said about avoiding red meat, that is a BAD idea, red meat is full of iron, iron is important to your body and there are a few things a person with Hashimoto tends to run low on Iron is one vitamins A, and D and calcium are some others.

She should also look into Dr Datis Kharrizian and his book “why do I have thyroid symptoms when my lab tests are normal” He has great treatment plans and many people after following his protocol find they no longer need thyroid hormones!
