HRT; Hormone replacement therapy – Pros and Cons?

i have been in menopause for over 5 years. Ive taken all treatments and medicine including herbal. My doctor recommends HRT however, majority of women who have taken HRT do not recommend it due to many side effects such as bloating, nausea, headaches, blood clotting etc. Anyone who has taken HRT could give me any information negative or positive?
Many responses are negative. Did anyone experience something positive? If so, please outline details

My mum had a stroke while on HRT.

HRT has been linked with strokes.

I’m not saying that my mum’s stroke was caused by her HRT, but it’s a possibility.

To be honest though, if your doctor recommends it and you’ve talked to him about the risks, he probably believes it is worth it in your case.
