What is the significance of hormone replacement therapy in people who cannot secrete aldosterone?

Aldosterone is a hormone secreted directly by the adrenal gland and plays a big role in regulating sodium and potassium levels in the blood. Specifically, the hormone acts to increase sodium reabsorption in the blood.

In people who are deficient of aldosterone, there is less sodium reabsorption than normal. Since water follows salt, you can deduce that in people with low levels of aldosterone, they will have less blood flow and less blood pressure, which can be bad.
