I had menapause fairly early, age 45; I’m trying bioidentical hormones. My doctor said I probably have thyroid problems but the medication gave me severe insomnia and I refuse to take it. Now the hair under my arms has stopped growing. Nothing there. Nothing to shave anymore. I guess that’s okay but it concerns me ! It’s kind of strange. has anyone else experienced that?
I meant to say all other hair is fine – on my head and legs !
I am post menopause, and I still have to shave under my arms. However, my leg hair has diminished to the point where I seldom have to shave my legs. It’s normal to even have head hair thin out a bit, but mine is still very thick. In fact, when I put it all in one braid, the braid is about three inches in diameter. I had menopause at 47. You didn’t mention the hair on your head. If it’s still nice and thick, you have nothing to worry about. As for the hairless arm pits, consider that just one less thing you have to shave. Good luck!
