Why, to you, is a bio-identical hormone different from the same molecule?
In the HRT trial, it was shown that estrogen replacement resulted in a 26% increase in breast cancer. Reproductive cancers in women are linked with cumulative estrogen exposure, earlier menses, later menopause, add in supplements and the odds worsen. So why on EARTH do people think that bio-identical estradiol, the most potent highest activity pro-proliferative (causes breast, uterine cells to divide more rapidly) hormone, is going to protect them somehow? Is this just purposeful self-delusion?
Estrogen has a purpose in the human body. When we remove it, by neutering ourselves (hysterectomy with removal of ovaries) we remove that substance, and there are definite health risks. A better question, is why do we feel the need to muck with what we have so much? Period heavy or irregular? Go on BCP. Cancer hasn’t always been a slow way to die, either. We pump our bodies up with poison to kill the cancer in a vain attempt to live forever. I don’t want to die soon, nor do I wish for cancer, but there are worse things than dying. We have lost sight of that.
