age testosterone therapy
Is humor a good way to cope? (grandpa)?

Grandpas are no doubt the best! Saying they don’t have money but then pulling out a 100 dollar bill! My grandpa always said that he wishes he had his grandchildren before he had his children. Recently he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and at age 75 he is to old for surgery, he wont take chemo therapy, so they are giving him a female hormone to kill the male testosterone. He will not grow facial hair anymore but he will have boobs. My aunt and I were discussing how Grandpa always joked around, since he is gonna have boobs would it appropriatee and funny to give him one of my old bras? Is that a good way to cope?

Cancer can be such a serious disease and sometimes laughter can help take the edge off. I would say (from read the past history of your grandfather) that he would probably take this in a good way, or at least see that you were trying to be humorous. If not, then apologize and explain to him your intentions. Always remember to keep your head up and stay positive. It’s the best way to cope. Good luck and best wishes.
